So Does Mommy Love It is having a group writing assignment, based on "A Family Product I Cannot Live Without Is...."
I've thought long and hard about this. I have to say, it's hard to choose just one!
Since now is cold and flu season, and Miss Mommy has already posted about the most amazing humidifier in the world, I'll have to settle for one of the best preventers of the flu that I know of.

The Floppy Seat was a gift from my father, on a whim. He heard that one of his precious granddaughters had taken to licking shopping carts, he did some sleuthing, gathered some recommendations, hit toysrus.com, and had these seat covers express shipped to both his granddaughters. They work so well! With elastic all the way around, they can be attached to the cart one handed. They are cushy enough that a young child could tip over in the cart (ahem...not that that's ever happened!) and not sustain anything more serious than surprise. The pocket holds the little snacks and what-have-you that babies need while cruising the aisles. The large size even fits the Costco carts, but you can only put one baby in the cart if you use this cover. (They will sit between the two "seats".) The little loops on the front allow you clip on all manner of toys that can keep your precious one entertained at least through the dairy section!
Aunt LoLo loves it!
Thanks for playing! You are right these are essential!
ReplyDeleteThese are great! And what a wonderful father you have to think of his grandchildren like that!
ReplyDeleteI received one as a shower gift and really think they are a great idea... I just keep forgetting to put it in my car!
ReplyDeleteIsn't that the hardest part? It folds up so small...but remembering to put that little bundle of goodness in the car is so hard!
ReplyDeleteGood choice! I tried to sew one, but by the time I got around to it, Little Bean stopped licking & biting the handle bar. I almost think it would be easier to have handle bar covers.
ReplyDeleteOh, I can't imagine trying to sew one, Jenn! So much fabric..and the elastic...I think I'd go mad! My sewing skills are limited to square baby blankets. Well...they're supposed to be square, anyhow. ;-)
ReplyDeleteWhen I registered for Winn-Dixie's baby club they sent me one that just covered the handle bar. They must understand that this is necessary at their store. :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by my blog, and I agree, I loved my floppy seat when my son was younger. Now he has to sit in the actual cart not the kiddie one up front where he is supposed to be. Sigh...
ReplyDeleteThat looks so much more user friendly than the one I had. (I did register for it, but I hadn't actually tried it.) It was difficult to put it in the cart. I think we actually used it once! THis one I would have used.
ReplyDeleteI see these in grocery stores and get more than a little bit envious. My kids are six and eight and this product didn't exist yet. They survived, but I barely did LOL! They put their mouths on so many yucky cart handles. Blech! :-)
ReplyDeleteChristine - I hear ya! On the days I forget the floppy seat...oh, the carts she licks. Yucky!!!
